A return to blogsville.

Its been a while since I've had a blog.. but I remember it being fun, back when I had one. In this new blog, I plan on discussing things I think are awes! Bear in mind that I'm whats commonly referred to as a nerd, so this will obviously include lots of video games, movies, and music. I may also discuss..... whatever.

I guess I'll start off with what's on my mind right now. I played a demo for Mirror's Edge today, on Xbox 360. I really enjoyed the art style, music, and general feel of the atmosphere, and the dystopian future is a really fun thing to think about. The fiction itself is really interesting, and fits the art style very well, and it all kind of fits together to be a very submersive experience. However, its not all that fun to play... and that sucks. The controls are awful, and it seems so hard to tell what your going to be able to do within the environment, let alone find what you're supposed to be doing. The presentation is so good, that I really wanted to enjoy this game. Its kind of an interesting thing where Id probably finish this game, just to see everything awesome in it... which I guess means, this would have been a better movie, than a game... and I dont know how I feel about coming to that conclusion.
